bLAck pARty Shares New Song ‘Hotline’

R&B

Rising R&B act bLAck pARty is back with his new single “Hotline,” his first release of the year, via Childish Gambino’s label Wolf + Rothstein and RCA Records.

Over a breezy production helmed by Lido, bLAck pARty assures his love interest that he will always have time to talk with them on the phone (“Call me anytime, any day”). However, with lyrics like “I know you seen me calling, pick up for me now,” it doesn’t look like that sentiment is reciprocated.

Of his new single, bLAck pARty says, “‘Hotline’ is one of those rare records that came out of a producer and an artist meeting for the first time. Lido and I were experimenting and getting to know each other and ended up creating something that we both loved on the first day.”

“Hotline” arrives with a trippy video directed by Dylan McGale, who also directed bLAck pARty’s visuals for “Dancing” and “No Complaints.”

“Hotline” will appear on bLAck pARty’s upcoming album, which will follow his 2019 project, Endless Summer.

Last year, he dropped a double single, Birds & Bees, which consisted of “Soakin” featuring Gwen Bunn and “Lay (Season 5 Version).”
