She can’t calm down! A The Price Is Right contestant played a perfect game in every aspect on June 18, and fans couldn’t stop laughing at her energy, calling her the “funniest contestant ever.”
Jay Segal was the first contestant called to “come on down!” on the episode. Her luck began when she won the third item up for bid, which was a remote control helicopter with a battery charger and transmitter.
She bid $1,001 on it, which was a bid in the middle of the pack. The actual retail price was $1,050. Since two other contestants were above that, Segal won the item up for bid and got to play a game for more prizes.
The contestant jumped up and down before running onto the stage and excitedly hugging host Drew Carey. When Carey asked Segal where she was from, she screamed into the microphone that she was “born and raised here, baby,” meaning Glendale, California.
Segal jumped back and forth and said she was born in the hospital right down the street. “She practically walked here,” Carey laughed.
She played Take Two for a new computer, designer shoes, a smart coffee table, and an electric guitar. Segal pretended to play an air guitar after the prizes were announced.
All the game show contestant needed to do was pick two of the prizes and have them total exactly the prize shown on top, which was $5,443. If she got them right, Segal would win all four prizes.
She chose the designer shoes and then asked the audience for help on the second one. Ultimately, Segal went with the computers. The shoes were $3,285. The computer was $810. “Ooo, I messed up,” she said. The total was $4,095.
Since the game was called Take Two, Segal got a second chance. When the host told her that, she excitedly jumped and screamed.
For her second chance, Segal picked the shoes and the guitar. The guitar was $2,158, which matched the price above, along with the shoes. Segal did a cartwheel, high-fived Drew Carey, jumped across the stage, and hugged model Devin Goda.
When it came time to spin the wheel, Segal spun a .55 first. Carey asked her if she wanted to spin again, and she wasn’t sure. She decided to go for it and landed on .45, which gave her exactly $1.00. This put an extra $1,000 in her winnings.
The other contestants did not tie her, so she advanced to the Showcase. As her Showcase was being announced, Segal didn’t stop moving her head and gripping onto the podium.
Her Showcase included an outdoor games package, a trip to the Grand Canyon, and a 2025 Mazda 3S. She asked where the Grand Canyon was and said that she totaled her car last week. As Segal made her bid of $31,200, she was shaking.
Segal’s opponent was over by $7,400. “Get the heck out,” Carey said before he read Segal’s price. “Get ready.”
The price was $31,350, which made her under by only $150. This made her a Double Showcase winner. The contestant must not go over their price and be within $250 of it in order to win both Showcases.
Segal fell to the floor and cried. She then moved to the stage and did the worm across it, along with another cartwheel. Segal picked up Goda and hugged Amber Lancaster.
The other Showcase included a robot package, an automatic coffee machine with a year of meal delivery, and a 2025 Nissan Sentra SV. This gave her a total of $75,691 in prizes.
Fans reacted to her energy on Reddit and Instagram. “Someone needs to cut down on her caffeine intake,” a Reddit user said.
“She was pure joy! Very happy for her,” another wrote.
“Legitimately the funniest person I’ve ever seen on a game show. Legend,” a third added.
“Her trying to lift up Devin was so random and hilarious,” a fan commented.
“This was one of my favorite episodes. I had to watch the showcase showdown 4 times because she was so funny and energetic,” an Instagram user commented.
“Jay is one awesome and bada** contestant. She was so fun to watch the other day,” another said.
“She had the best energy,” one last fan said.
