Taylor Sheridan sure has a lot of irons in the fire, and he’s already adding another one!

Taylor Sheridan’s Next Project Is a Documentary Film

In addition to his duties on projects includingLandman, Lioness, The Madison and his upcoming Yellowstone spinoff called Dutton Ranch, the screenwriter will also craft an immersive4D documentary film about the Battle of the Alamo.

Fans looking to see the film might be a tad disappointed, as it will air excluively at the Alamo Visitor Center and Museum in San Antonio, Texas.

A timeline for production has yet to be revealed.

What Is Taylor Sheridan’s Documentary Film About?

Sheridan’s yet-to-be-named film will document the iconic Battle of the Alamo, which occurred in 1836 during the Texas Revolution.

The Texas Army held off the Mexican Army at the Alamo for 13 days despite being severely outnumbered.

Ultimatelythe Texas Army was defeated, but their resistance brought in a surge of backup troops, leading to the capture of President General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna and the eventual defeat of the Mexican Army. This ended the war and garnered Texas’ independence.

“The Alamo is the very bedrock Texas was founded upon,” Sheridan said in a statement.

“To chronicle the sacrifice made by the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the Alamo is an honor I eagerly accept.”

The Yellowstone creator has an affinity for the Lone Star State after being raised within its borders. The television mogul is now part owner of the iconicFour Sixes Ranch in the Lone Star State, located in Guthrie, Texas.

While Sheridan’s show Landman takes place and is also filmed in Texas,his other shows have made their mark there as well. Lioness has filmed in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, which production looking for extras regularly.

His new series Dutton Ranch will also film in Texas, as its storyline puts Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler on a new ranch in Texas.
