Slipknot’s Mick Thomson Debuts New ESP Signature Guitar

Metal

Mick Thomson has got some hands on him, that’s for sure. The Slipknot guitarist, “#7,” is so precise and technical, which makes watching him perform fucking awesome. And because he is so awesome, he just got his own LTD MT-I signature guitar with ESP. He debuts it in the intro video below.

Thomson’s LTD MT-I guitar comes in a metallic obsidian finish with an MH-style body and an arched top and an inline reverse headstock. Some of its other features include a set-thru construction at 25.5″ scale, a mahogany body with a white ash top, a three-piece maple neck, and a Macassar ebony fingerboard with compound radius and 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets.

Of course, Thomson had to make it even more tailored to him, so his is on some shit other guitars aren’t. It’s got a Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut, Hipshot grip-lock locking open gear tuners, an all-brass Hipshot hi-mass hardtail bridge, blue Luminlay side markers, and a Fishman Fluence Mick Thomson signature pickup with a three-way low profile toggle switch to select between Voice 1, Voice 1 with bass boost shift, and Voice 2, and a push/pull volume control to select Voice 3. Includes ESP hardshell form fit case.

Whew, all that spec talk. But yeah it looks fuckin sick and I want one.
