Otis Kane Shares Heartwarming Song ‘Morning Sun’: Listen

R&B

Emerging R&B singer and multi-instrumentalist Otis Kane is back with his new single “Morning Sun.”

On the self-produced track, laden with caressed keys by Kane and gossamer guitar work by Sam Meek, Kane croons about a newfound love that brightens his day like the dawn’s glow.

In the irresistible chorus, Kane sings, “You make my heart beat / Like the bass drum / You make my soul sing / Like the morning sun.”

Speaking on “Morning Sun,” Kane states, “My studio is bathed in sunlight every morning, which inspired the lyrics. The sun always shining on me here in LA makes it easy to write about its warmth and positivity.”

He continues, “I want listeners to feel wrapped in good vibes from the moment they press play. From the funky guitars to the soaring organ in the chorus, ‘Morning Sun’ is a journey through the highs of new love and the joy of living in the moment.”

“Morning Sun” is Kane’s first song release of 2024. Last year, he dropped five tracks: “Good Life,” “Kaleidoscope,” “Pieces,” “Smile” and “Closer.”

In June 2021, Kane released his debut album, Purple BLUE, and followed up in the fall with his EP, November Love Notes

“This album is truly a step into my world,” Kane said about Purple BLUE. “Every song is a reflection of my life, all of the music a representation of my taste, and what moves me. If you listen from top to bottom, you can feel how the music and the stories exist together like different scenes of the same movie. I had so much fun creating this body of work, and I’m so excited to share it with the world.”
