Normani Dopamine Album Review
RCA Records

Dopamine was released June 14 via RCA Records. The album was preceded by 2021’s “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B, “1:59” featuring Gunna, and “Candy Paint.” It also features background vocals on Brandy, who appears on “Insomnia.”

Dopamine was mainly produced by Tommy Brown (Ariana GrandeThe Weeknd), with additional contributions from Stargate, Bizness Boi, HARV, Ari Pensmith, and more.

The album includes songwriting credits from Brittany “Starrah” Hazzard, Victoria Monét, Nija Charles, Sevyn Streeter, and others. Normani co-wrote every song on the 13-track set.

“I feel like [Dopamine] embodies everything I wanted to say – it feels dominant, strong, assertive – but on the flipside, there are so many layers to it. You get the highs, the lows, the thrill of it all. And it’s a little toxic, too,” Normani told Dazed
