Lucky Daye visited ABC’s GMA (Good Morning America) on Thursday (Aug. 8) to perform music from his third album, Algorithm.

Wearing a chocolate-colored leather outfit, the New Orleans native and his band performed two songs: “That’s You” and “HERicane.”

At the time of this publication, “That’s You” has had a steady presence on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for 29 weeks, with two of those weeks spent at the top.

The track, produced by Bruno Mars and D’Mile, is Daye’s first No. 1 hit as a lead act and second overall. It’s No. 5 this week on the chart dated Aug. 10.

Meanwhile, “HERicane” debuted and peaked at No. 25 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart.

Daye’s appearance on GMA comes during his headlining Algorithm Tour. He is accompanied by Fana Hues as a special guest. The tour will conclude Aug. 28 at The Novo in San Francisco.

Algorithm was released on June 28 via Keep Cool / RCA Records. As mentioned earlier, the album was introduced by singles such as “That’s You,” “HERicane” and “Soft.”

Daye’s genre-shifting set includes guest appearances by Teddy Swims and RAYE.

Algorithm is the continued exploration of my sound, leaning into more futuristic and alternative sounds,” explained Daye. “Whenever I create with D’Mile and J. Kercy, we create magic, so I hope the fans love this project as much as I do.”

Algorithm is the follow-up to Daye’s sophomore album, Candydrip, released March 10, 2022. The project, released later as a deluxe and on vinyl, placed No. 1 on Rated R&B’s Best R&B Album of 2022 list.
