Kelly Price Signs With Universal Attractions Agency

Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Kelly Price recently signed with Universal Attractions Agency, an established talent agency founded in 1945, for representation.

She joins UAA’s growing roster that includes K. Michelle, Raheem DeVaughn, Keith Sweat, Ashanti, Stephanie Mills, Marsha Ambrosius and more.

Adam Zagor will represent Price exclusively as her talent agent. “I have been a fan of Kelly Price for years, and I am excited to be working more closely with her. I look forward to booking dates for Kelly as she celebrates 25 years of her debut album, Soul of a Woman,” Zagor shares.

Price comments, “Music is in such a unique place right now, and the R&B genre is experiencing a rebirth of sorts. UAA has been a support for artists of all genres for decades and understands the nuances and necessities for talent when it’s time to hit the road.”

She continues, “I’m excited about my new chapter in music, which includes my new partnership with UAA! It’s tour time, and I can’t wait to see all of my fans and supporters in their cities very soon.”

Price struck her UAA deal before her appearance in The Christmas Ringer, a holiday movie where she plays Claire, a former choir director.

She competes against Nicole (played by Trenyce Cobbins), a once-prominent R&B singer known as the Princess of Christmas, who is trying to revive her career.

The Christmas Ringer will premiere exclusively on BET+ Thursday, Nov. 30. The film also stars Tamika Scott, Arischa Conner, Chrisette Michele, Q Parker, Akbar V, Adrian Hernandez and more.

As mentioned earlier, Price recently marked the 25th anniversary of her debut album, Soul of a Woman. In an extensive interview with Rated R&B, she reflected on the creation and significance of the album.

“For Soul of a Woman, I believe I was being divinely guided, from the things that I chose to write about, to the things that I chose to release to the things that I did not release. All of it comes into play with that,” Price told Rated R&B.

The editorial also featured additional commentary from Herb Middleton, Carlos “Los Vegaz” Thornton, Q Parker, and Lil Cease about their involvement in Soul of a Woman.

In 2021, Price released Grace, a faith-based project featuring the popular single “Dance Party.” The set was nominated for Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2021 Soul Train Awards.
