Kehlani will headline the Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star concert on Monday, July 17, at The Anthem in Washington, D.C.

“As a longtime soccer fan, I’m thrilled to be performing at the MLS All-Star Concert in Washington, D.C. next month. There is such a beautiful intersection of sports and music. Excited to bring that passion together for this special concert,” says Kehlani.

DJ Pee .Wee, a.ka. Anderson .Paak will join the show as a special guest.

Tickets for the concert will be sold on ticketmaster.com starting Tuesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. Tickets are $25 and the proceeds will be used to help DC Central Kitchen (DCCK) achieve its goals of strengthening bodies, empowering minds, and building communities through food.

In addition to Kehlani’s upcoming concert, there will be various soccer-related events happening during the All-Star celebration from July 15 to July 19. To learn more about all the events, visit mlssoccer.com/all-star.

Last year, Kehlani released their third studio album, Blue Water Road. The LP included features from Justin Bieber, Jessie Reyez, Thundercat, Blxst and Ambré.

Of the album, Rated R&B’s Keithan Samuels said, “Blue Water Road makes for a listening experience that will move the body, declutter the mind and uplift the spirit. Kehlani’s sparkling energy shines throughout the album like sun glitter, and the track sequence flows like a gentle breeze. It’ll leave you wondering where Kehlani will venture on the next album.”

Blue Water Road was featured on Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2022 list.

Between Kehlani releasing an album and gaining acclaim for it, they went on a headlining tour and joined Babyface for his Capitol Records debut, Girls Night Out.

Additionally, Kehlani co-wrote a Maeta song (“S(EX)“) and was on the Creed III soundtrack. They also received a new RIAA award from the RIAA for their part in Cardi B’s “Ring.”

Amid all this, Kehlani has been booked to headline and perform at festivals. Kehlani is at the top of the bill for the 2023 Sol Blume Festival, taking place at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California, on Aug. 20.
