Central Cee has announced a small, last-minute show in London ahead of the release of his forthcoming debut album.

The BRIT Award-nominated rapper is set to take over London’s KOKO on January 30, six days after the release of his highly anticipated debut album ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’. Tickets for the show are set to go on sale this Friday (January 17) at 3pm. Visit here to purchase tickets.

The gig is in celebration of Cench’s debut album which is set for release on January 24 via Columbia Records and available for pre-order and pre-saving on digital streaming platforms.

Per a press release, ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ was recorded in several locations across the last year, and will feature guest producers as well as ‘Sprinter’ collaborator Dave – though it isn’t clear if this suggests ‘Sprinter’ will feature on the album or if the pair have cooked up another track together.

In other news, Cench recently called out naysayers who speculate that his rise to fame wasn’t authentic, demanding that they “give the soul-selling talk a rest”.

The rapper took to his official Instagram account back in November and shared an Instagram story addressing the “soul-selling claims” sharing “I’m a God-fearing, hard-working man. Allow me.” The comments came after years of speculation about the authenticity of the west Londoner’s meteoric rise.

He burst into the mainstream back in 2020 with his breakthrough viral hits, ‘Loading’ and ‘Day In The Life’, then dropped his debut mixtape ‘Wild West’ – which hit Number Two on the UK albums charts. He has since become one of the biggest UK rappers in the world, garnering over 26million monthly listeners on Spotify and collaborating with huge international acts such as Lil BabyAsake and Jungkook. This trajectory caused many to believe Cee – also known as Cench – is an industry plant.
