Lifetime has announced the premiere date for Toni Braxton’s Breathe Again.
The film, starring Toni Braxton, Cree Summer (A Different World) and Essence Atkins (Half & Half), airs Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
Breathe Again, inspired by and titled after Braxton’s 1993 classic, followsToni Braxton’s He Wasn’t Man Enough, which premiered in November.
Per the film’s official synopsis, Breathe Again “follows three women — Jennifer (Braxton), Vanessa (Summer), and Evelyn (Atkins) — who meet as contestants on a reality dating show and suffer heartbreak under the spotlight.

Their shared rejection sparks an unlikely sisterhood that carries them from Los Angeles to a new life in Seattle. There, they navigate fresh starts, second chances, and the messy, hilarious realities of dating, friendship, and family.”
It continues, “Jennifer rediscovers her voice as an artist, Vanessa rebuilds her interior design business while opening herself to love again, and Evelyn faces her grief by daring to embrace joy and possibility. Along the way, the women learn that while romance may come and go, female friendship is the love story that lasts a lifetime.”

Breathe Againmarks the official kick-offto Lifetime’s winter slate, which also includesTerry McMillan’s Tempted 2 Love, starring Garcelle Beauvais and Boris Kodjoe, premiering Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
On Valentine’s Day, the network will air an extended version of Terry McMillan’s His, Hers and Ours, starring Taye Diggs and Lesley-Ann Brandt, at 10 p.m. ET.
Braxton’s two new Lifetime movies are part of a deal the R&B icon signed with the company, which was announced in October.
Up next, Braxton is set to join New Edition onThe New Edition Way Touras a special guest. The 30-city R&B tour, which also includes support from Boyz II Men, starts Jan. 28 in Oakland.
