JoJo Siwahas revealed she was recentlyhospitaliseddue to “excruciating” stomach pains ahead of a show in Minnesota.
Thepop singerwas due to play a set at the Mall of America in Bloomington onFriday (November 28), but as she has revealed in a TikTok post, she was rushed to hospital in the hours leading up to the show.
Explaining what happened, Siwa said:“So long story short, every time that I’ve been dancing for the last couple of days or even just like walking like anything, my stomach would just really, really hurt.”
“And Idon’tknow why, but it justkind of passed, and so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe it’s that time of the month, maybe it’s a cramp, I don’t know’.She said she tried to“calm” the pain by taking a warm bath, but “that set it off 100 times worse.”

She said her motheradvised her tocall an ambulance and at the hospital, she learned what had happened.“One of my ovaries had a cyst on it that burst and was bleeding into my stomach.”
“Sothat’swhat was causing the excruciating pain–anytime that the blood in your stomach moves,that’sthe bleeding in the stomach.It’slike brutal pain, and long story short, [it] shouldrevolveitself. It should stop on its own.”
Nevertheless, Siwa managed to play the Mall of America show, and revealed that she will get checked again by medical professionals in a week’s time.
“We’re going to keep it pushing, and if I vomit or if I have that excruciating pain burst again, I got to go immediately back in, but we should be okay,”shesaid.
Siwa recently wrapped up her ‘Infinity Heart’ UK and European tour, andearlier this year she was a contestant on the UK version ofCelebrity Big Brother,whereshe was the subject of inappropriate comments andbehaviourfrom actor Mickey Rourke.
She also covered Kim Carnes’ ‘Bette Davis Eyes’ this summer, whichCarnes appeared to dismiss in a TikTokin which she said, “There is a difference between singing a song…and embodying it”.
