Tamar Braxton surprises her fans with a new song, “Notice Me.” She co-wrote it with Amber Dion Smith, Donald Sales and Nyerere Davidson.
On the somber track, Braxton sings about her longing to be acknowledged by a love interest.
“I give you love when you don’t deserve it / Put up with your sh*t when yo’ ass can’t focus / When you looking crazy like I’m speaking foreign / And the audacity of you to not notice me,” Braxton sings.
“Notice Me” is Braxton’s first song since releasing her holiday single “You Bring The Love,” produced by Louis York, in November 2023.
Earlier in the year, Braxton celebrated her birthday (March 17) with the release of her single “Changed.” The SWV-inspired song debuted at No. 15 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart, tallying her 9th entry.
“Changed” later peaked at No. 2 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. It spent 29 weeks on the chart, marking Braxton’s second longest-charting single on that list. Her 2012 single “Love and War” reached No. 1 in April 2013, spending nine weeks atop the chart.
Last year, Braxton celebrated the 10th anniversary of her second album, Love and War, with a sold-out headlining tour, which included special guests such as Tiffany Evans, Nivea, Teairra Mari, Candiace and Drew Sidora at select stops.
