Frankie Beverly Announces Farewell Tour Dates

R&B

Frankie Beverly will the road one last time. The legendary R&B singer has announced his I Wanna Thank You Farewell Tour.

The five-city engagement kicks off March 22 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and will conclude May 12 at Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.

Beverly will be joined by fellow legendary singers Chaka Khan and El DeBarge at his Atlanta stop.

The AMEX presale tickets are available now through Thursday, Feb. 15, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The promoter, venue and local presales will also be available on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET using the code: BPC.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m. ET.

The tour will mark Beverly’s final run of shows with his band Maze before he retires later this year after a five-decade career.

Fans can expect Beverly to perform all his hits, including “Happy Feelin’s,” “Back In Stride,” “Joy & Pain,” “Golden Time of Day” and “Before I Let Go.”

The latter song, which appeared on 1981’s Live in New Orleans, was famously reimagined by Beyoncé at her culture-shifting Coachella set in 2018. Bey’s version later appeared on Homecoming: The Live Album, released in April 2019.

The band will continue to tour as Maze Honoring Frankie Beverly, with Tony Lindsay stepping in as the lead vocalist.

Last month, Beverly received the Living Legend Award at the 2024 Urban One Honors, filmed in Atlanta. The ceremony, which included other honorees such as Dionne Warwick and Chlöe, airs Sunday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. ET on TV One.
