Rising R&B singer Kayla Brianna has unleashed her sultry new song, “Down.”
On the self-penned track, Brianna invites her love interest into the bedroom for an intimate session between the sheets. “Boy, come and meet me by this bed / And baby lay me down, down, down,” she sings over a smooth production.
“Down” is accompanied by a sensual visual directed by Lawerence S. Murphy (Keke Palmer, Avery Wilson).
“I wanted to incorporate choreography that reflects the essence of the song and its message, allowing listeners to see a different side of me,” Brianna tells Rated R&B.
“Down” is the follow-up to her single “Too Long,” released in November 2021. She dropped the official video, directed by Neex, in February 2022.
“I wanted to provide visuals that felt ethereal, romantic and dreamy,” Brianna explained. “The song ‘Too Long’ was created from being in quarantine, which literally felt *too long* at times. It’s about missing who you love and longing for more.”
According to press materials, “Down” marks the beginning of a new era for Brianna.
