Rammstein Guitarist’s Emigrate Project Posts New Song, “Freeze My Mind”

Metal

Rammstein may have utilized the downtime brought by the pandemic to finish a new album in way less time than it usually takes them — under two years as opposed to ten — but they’re keeping that tight, perhaps waiting until they can properly tour again (currently scheduled for 2022).

For now fans will have to settle for a new song from Emigrate, the side project led by Rammstein guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe, their first new music since the 2018 album A Million Degrees. And you know what? I use the word “settle” lightly, because the tune is quite good… more straight-forward rock than Rammstein, but with some of the same hardened edge and electronic elements, and naturally with a big ol’, giant hook.

Check out “Freeze My Mind” below. No new Emigrate album has been announced yet, so for now this is all you get. Scroll down under the tour dates!
