The 2025 Grammy’s kicked off with quite a few pre-show winner announcements.
“II MOST WANTED” by Beyoncé feat. Miley Cyrus was named Best Country Duo/Group Performance, making the first country GRAMMY win of the night.
Chris Stapleton was awarded the title of Best Country Solo Performance for his song “It Takes a Woman,” securing his 11th career GRAMMY win.
While Beyoncé, Cyrus, and Stapleton were not present to accept their GRAMMY Awards during the Premiere Ceremony, Kacey Musgraves was on hand for her big win, taking home the GRAMMY for Best Country Song for “The Architect.”
“I did not expect that,” she admitted when taking the stage.
She later added, “There’s much darkness in this world right now, and it just feels so good to be able to fight some of that darkness through song,” she said. “It’s such an honor. Thank you.”
The winner of Best Country Album, the final country category, will be revealed tonight during the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Hosted by Trevor Noah, the celebration returns to Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena and airs live on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. ET / 5-8:30 p.m. PT, with streaming available on Paramount+.
