Xavier Omär has released his new song “MAGIC!” his first offering of the year.
The devotional tune, co-produced by Sango and Kaelin Ellis, hears Omär singing about the beauty of an authentic and enduring love.
“I won’t make you disappear / You won’t cut me into two / What we got baby, it’s not magic / It’s for real, it’s for real,” Omär sings in the irresistible chorus, which features additional vocals from rising singer Zyah Belle.
“MAGIC!” follows Omär’s Alex Isley-assisted track, “Peppermint Tea,” released in December 2022.
In July 2022, Omär released his EP, b l u r r. The six-track release included the previously shared songs “Feelings 4 You” and “Tarantino.”
In an exclusive interview with Rated R&B, Omär revealed the behind the EP’s title: “It has been an absolute blur in learning fatherhood. It’s been a blur in kind of relearning marriage, which nobody told me about that part. Once you have a kid in a marriage, obviously some things have to change because her body has changed and her needs from you, at least temporarily, have changed”
Omär also shared what he hoped listeners will take away from b l u r r. “If any of these things are a moment in your life or it’s something that you can relate to, I just hope you connect to that. Even if it’s just one song, connect to that song and let it be something that helps you,” he stated.
