When Are the ‘AGT’ Live Shows & Which 44 Acts Made It?

Season 20 ofAmerica’s Got Talent is well underway. The show returned for its milestone season on May 27 with Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B., and Sofia Vergara serving as judges.

It’s now been more than two months since the premiere and the show finally wrapped up its auditions on Tuesday, August 5. Nine episodes of auditions aired, in addition to a special episode that looked back at the greatest Golden Buzzer auditions of all time.

Now, the show will officially transition into live shows, but when do they begin, and which acts have advanced? And when is the finale? Scroll down for everything we know about the rest of Season 20.

When do theAGTLive Shows begin?

The Live Shows will officially begin on Tuesday, August 19, at 8/7c. At that point, the show will shift from one night a week to two nights a week. The acts will perform on Tuesday, followed by a live results show on Wednesday (beginning on Wednesday, August 20, at 8/7c).

For four weeks, there will be Quarterfinals episodes and results shows. The performance episodes will be two hours long, while the results shows will be one hour long. Twelve acts will move onto the Semifinals, with six of those advancing to the finals, in addition to four live Golden Buzzer judges picks from the Quarterfinals (more on that below).

Which acts made theAGT Season 20 live shows?

In total, 44 acts are advancing to the live shows. Not all of the performers who received “yeses” from the judges are moving on. At the end of the final night of auditions, host Terry Crews revealed which 44 acts will be advancing.

Week 1 (August 19): Steve Ray Ladson (singer), B Unique Crew (dancers), Loco Pop Familia (dancers), CitiLimitz (singing trio), Phobias (horror magic trio), Shuler King (comedian), Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras (band), Sirca Marea (trapeze duo), Light Wire (multimedia dance group, Cowell’s Golden Buzzr), Charity Lockhart (singer, Mel B.’s Golden Buzzer), Jourdan Blue (singer, Mandel’s Golden Buzzer).

Week 2 (August 26): Leo High School Choir (choir), Ben Hightower (singer), EDT Dance Team (cheerleading group), Alain Simonov (magician), Bay Melnick Virgolino (singer), Alex Zigner & Crew (dance group), Mama Duke (rapper), Boston Dynamics (robot act), Jonglissimo (juggling group), Duo Stardust (rollerskating duo, Vergara’s Golden Buzzer), Unreal Crew (dance group, Mandel’s Golden Buzzer)

Week 3 (September 2):Micah Palace (rapper), Maceo Harrison (dancer), Mastermind (AI magician), Benn Family Band (vocal group), Anna Saranina (crossbow shooter), Austin Brown (singer), Chris Turner (freestyle rapper), Girish and the Chronicles (band), Jacqueline & Wagner (aerial duo), Messoudi Brothers (juggling duo, Mel B.’s Golden Buzzer), Jessica Sanchez (singer, Vergara’s Golden Buzzer)

Week 4 (September 9):Team Recycled (dance group), Zak Mirz (magician), Chuck Adams (singer), Gendai (laser act), Cole Swensen & Judy (singer/cellist), TT Boys (acrobatic duo), Crash Adams (vocal duo), Astrid Jorgensen (choir instructor), The Funkateer Dancers (dance group), Birmingham Youth Choir (choir, Cowell’s Golden Buzzer), The BoykinZ (vocal group, Crews’ Golden Buzzer)

During the four Quarterfinal episodes, eleven acts will perform each night. One act from each night will be sent directly to the Finals with the judges’ live Golden Buzzer. Three others from each night will move on based on votes.

When is theAGT Season 20 finale?

TheAmerica’s Got Talent Season 20 finale is on Wednesday, September 24. The winner will be announced during that episode. The finalists will perform one final time the day before (Tuesday, September 23). There will be ten finalists in the competition, with one chosen as the winner on finale night.
