Justin Moorelooks a bit different after a cancer scare turned out to be something quite different. “I just look like a linebacker, circa 1982,” he jokes.
The issue is Moore’s neck. It’s noticeably larger than it was several months ago. “I’m sure people think, ‘Golly, he’s been eating good,'” he jokes.

What’s Wrong With Justin Moore?
Moore originally feared his thick neck could be a sign of cancer, or a lipoma. Doctors ruled those out and offered a less precise diagnosis. He’s actually just got benign fat and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
Doctors said surgery would be difficult and it may affect his singing and speaking voice. “I’ve never sold records because of my looks in the first place,” he cracks.
After learning the condition was relatively harmless, Moore admits he was feeling sorry for himself but his wife Kate reset his approach with some tough love.
“She goes, ‘If you just have a fat neck and you’re here for the next 50 years then shut up and stop complaining,'” Moore says.
Lawrence adds to the laughter by suggesting a nickname for Moore: the chipmunk.

“I just got out of rehab for 30 days. This is my 31st day sober,” he told the crowd.
“My drinking got out of control,” he admits to the crowd, pledging to help others find sobriety as he gets older.
Moore will continue to tour through November, with his next show coming Aug. 21 in South Dakota.

Brantley Gilbert‘s addiction was opioids and alcohol. The first helped him deal with the pain caused by football injuries. The second was just to keep the party going. He’d tell People that he’d take a pull of whiskey, vodka or Jagermeister ever hour or two — even overnight! — and then swallow a pill every three or four hours.
In 2011 — just as he was celebrating his first No. 1 single — it all came to a head when doctors told him to quit drinking or else. Keith Urban helped him through that journey, which Gilbert says he’s very grateful for.

Hank Williams was one of country music’s biggest early pioneers and stars, but he was also one of its harshest cautionary tales. The singer scored a long list of classic hits including “Lovesick Blues,” “Mind Your Own Business” and many more before he died on Jan. 1, 1953, at the age of 27 after years of abusing alcohol and drugs.
