Video: Producer ‘Pimps’ Meshuggah’s “Bleed” Into a Symphonic Metal Track

Metal

Have you ever listened to Meshuggah and wondered what it would be like if someone, you know, pimped it up? No? Well, Australian producer Ursula Kurasik, AKA Misstiq, did, and decided to make a video in which she adds a bunch of synths and choir sections to “pimp up” the Swedish metal classic into a symphonic metal track.

As you’ll see below, Kurasik, who’s currently a member of Earth Caller, makes it clear that she’s not trying to make the song “better,” only to show how you can build a new song off of an existing one. And “Bleed” is pretty much the perfect Meshuggah track for that, with its steady, kinetic rhythm. Overall, the final product ain’t necessarily our thing, but hey, we doubt making MetalSucks happy was really the point of this exercise. Besides, everyone knows we don’t get happy at MetalSucks, we just sweat harder when excited.

Check out Meshuggah’s “Bleed” all pimped up below, and catch the band at one of their upcoming tour dates:
