Video Premiere: Windchimes – “She Begs”

Introspective post-metallers Windchimes have released a new video, “She Begs,” and you can see it with us first. Like much of their music, the song takes on themes of environmental despair and mental struggles told through a lilting, melodic take on heaviness.

Of the song, the band cryptically say, “Gaia now drowns in oceans of plastic, suffocated by the toils of man.”

Less cryptically, they add: “Windchimes is a project that started around 2019 in western PA, with our ever-changing influences landing on a mix of post metal, black metal, death metal, with a flair of core elements. From our first release of the self recorded ‘Glassface’ single, to now with our upcoming EP Frantically Grasping at Intangible Hands coming out January 28, we strive to outdo ourselves and develop our sound. We create an array of emotions arranged with dynamic instrumentation and atmosphere, touching on subjects like mental struggles, effects of substance abuse, and global issues.”
