Video Premiere: The Ghost Next Door – ‘Nothing, Then Nothing Again’

Metal

Berkeley, California rockers The Ghost Next Door are signed to stoner/psych label Ripple Music but their music defies the typical conventions of bands on the label. Though their sound certainly contains core elements of doom and stoner metal, The Ghost Next Door dabble in progressive rock, shoegaze, punk and even thrash metal on last year’s Classic Songs of Death and Dismemberment.

While they work on its follow-up, The Ghost Next Door have a new video for last year’s song “Nothing, Then Nothing Again.” It’s a groovy, slightly doomy song that really emphasizes the rock part of The Ghost Next Door’s sound.

“The song is about death,” The Ghost Next Door tell Decibel. “I, myself, am not a religious man, so I believe that once one’s time is up, that’s it, game over. Either you made something of your life, or you didn’t. No second chances, no afterlife paradise. Just nothing. If that is, indeed the case, you have nothing to worry about anyways. You die, your consciousness dies with you.

Make it count, people!”

Check it out below; Classic Songs of Death and Dismemberment is out now via Ripple Music.
