Video Premiere: The Gates of Slumber – ‘Full Moon Fever’

Metal

Indianapolis doom institution The Gates of Slumber have been a presence in the doom scene since the late ’90s, pushing their band of true doom around the world. Their latest album, The Gates of Slumber, came out last year and ended a 13-year gap between albums. It was the band’s first album after reforming in 2019 and it made one thing very clear: The Gates of Slumber haven’t lost a step.

The video for “Full Moon Fever,” which Decibel is premiering today, comes from that eponymous album and has a distinctly horror feeling to it.

“I was talking with our buddy Tad and he expressed an interest in doing the lyric video,” explains guitarist/vocalist Karl Simon. “Tad’s a massive fan of classic horror and he was into the song…. One thing led to another and he and his buddy Cliff came up with what I think is a pretty killer video clip! Hope you enjoy.”

If you dig what you hear, grab the album digitally or on wax.
