The New Jersey death metal legends have returned with the third video in a series from their latest album, The Rebirth, released through Xtreem Music/Faithless Entertainment. Known for their crushing, doom-infused death metal, Deteriorot takes things further this time, blending their signature sound with a visual experience straight out of a nightmare.
As Paul Zavaleta, the band’s songwriter and vocalist, says, “The Rebirth is a horror movie combined with our music, which is composed like a musical score for a horror film, filled with suspense and dynamics.” Shot on film to amplify the grainy, nostalgic feel of classic horror, the video perfectly complements the track’s creeping dread and explosive violence.
With a career spanning back to the late ’80s and sharing stages with the likes of Carcass and Bolt Thrower, Deteriorot remains a staple of the underground death metal elite.
