Video: Guy Fieri Rocks Out Incognito at a Slipknot Show

Metal

Celebrities have a difficult enough time enjoying themselves in public without being harangued for selfies and endless, boring conversations by punishing fans. Even moreso when your public persona is based around an instantly identifiable visual aesthetic.

All celebrity chef Guy Fieri wanted to do was enjoy a Slipknot concert in peace. So the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host, whose unmistakable bleach-blond hair and goatee make him hard to miss, pulled a large hoodie over his head and did just that at a gig that most likely took place at some point in 2019, before the pandemic shut down concerts.

Footage of Fieri getting his Slipknot on comes courtesy of photographer and daughter of percussionist M. Shawn Crahan (“Clown”), Alexandria Crahan-Conway. The 29-year-old shared a clip on her TikTok page along with a photo of the two together backstage. The post has amassed over 108,000 likes and 6,000 shares as of press time.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor is currently on a “socially distanced” solo tour of the U.S. The full band plans to hit the European festival circuit in July, although some of those dates are far from a sure thing.
