Verzuz: 8Ball & MJG vs UGK

Hip Hop

After much-anticipation, Verzuz takes it back to the dirty south with rap legends 8Ball & MJG and UGK.

From the early ’90s into the late 2000’s, both 8Ball & MJG and the Underground Kingz dominated the south before becoming international superstars. Pimp C, who was one half of UGK, passed away in 2007.

On Thursday (May 26), 8Ball & MJG and UGK’s Bun B brought their classic hits for a live performance in Atlanta. The Memphis titans repped Tennessee to the fullest from “Comin Out Hard” and “Don’t Make” to “You Don’t Want No Drama” and “Relax & Take Notes”. Meanwhile, Bun B proved everything is bigger in Texas and made Pimp C proud from “Choppin Blades” and “Front, Back & Side To Side” to “Big Pimpin” and “Int’l Players Anthem” .

8Ball & MJG vs UGK follows Verzuz’s special Saturday Fight Night Music between Cypress Hill vs Onyx which took place at the Kia Forum in L.A.
