Black metal stalwarts Venomhave a new album titled Into Oblivion coming out on May 1, so you know what that means — new single time. This morning, the band dropped “Kicked Outta Hell” everywhere on the internets, giving fans a chance to get a taste of what’s to come with the new record.
With a heavy thrash backbone and hints of Venom’s classic sound, “Kicked Outta Hell” has a modern feel to the track that really shows the band in its current form. Cronos said it was a favorite of his on the album.
“This one is me just having fun. I’m putting myself above the Devil in the lyric, which I think is an interesting twist. The Devil’s pissed off with us!”
Into Oblivion will be Venom’s 16th studio album, boasting 13 new tracks that mix their classic ’80s sound to their more modern, progressive approach to writing music. And it does that without sacrificing their overarching attitude as a band.
To help celebrate the album’s release, Venom will be hosting a handful of listening events at locations around the world. This will give people a chance to hear the album before everyone else and gain access to some exciting freebies and chances to win signed test presses at every event. The list of dates can be found below.
Into Oblivionwill be released on May 1 via Noise/BMG, but you canpreorder your copy today.
