Track Premiere: Sarkom – ‘Exceed in2 Chaos’

Metal

Long-running Norwegian black metal outfit Sarkom are preparing for their latest release, sixth album Exceed in2 Chaos, which is slated for a February 21 release date. In anticipation of the new release, Decibel has the lowdown on the title track. Serving as the opening track to the album, it works as a mission statement for what’s to come on Exceed in2 Chaos, both musically and thematically.

Explaining the origins and significance of the song, vocalist and bandleader Erik Unsgaard tells Decibel:

“Already from the first phrase ‘Exceed into chaos; the present schizophrenic art’ the bar is set! It is a reference to our previous album, Anti-Cosmic Art and it is a statement where we invite the listener into our new chapter, our wicked world, or sonic darkness if you like… I think it is the perfect opening track for the album and it confidently represents both Sarkom and what you’re about to hear; Something monstrous, extreme and unpredictable! I wrote the song eight or nine years ago, and I immediately knew that this was going to be the opening track for this album. It was also the obvious choice to release as a single, as we could easily cut the 40 second intro (which is featured on the album), but instead fire it straight up with a fist in the face!”

Take that fist to the face right now and head to Dusktone’s store to pre-order Exceed in2 Chaos.
