Andrew Lee is one busy weeb. Before the multi-instrumentalist and his bandmates release the fourth Ripped to Shreds album in September, Lee found time to record and release Koncertos Of Kawaiiness: Stealing Jon Chang’s Ideas, A Book By Andrew Lee, the third album from his anime-themed goregrind solo project Houkago Grind Time.
Despite its silly title, Koncertos of Kawaiiness hits with all the brutality one would expect from an album inspired by the likes of Archagathus, Dead Infection, Last Days of Humanity and Haggus, as you’ll hear on new song “Kirara Chainsaw.” Explaining the track, Lee told Decibel:
“Rip and tear more like moe and kyun. Shamiko wielded her kirara chainsaw for your sins, so become a mazoku who can bakyunsify any guro!”
If you don’t know what that means, join the fucking club. Koncertos Of Kawaiiness: Stealing Jon Chang’s Ideas, A Book By Andrew Lee is out on August 16 via Outrageous Weeb Power Productions and Obliteration Records.
