Track Premiere: Free Ride – ‘Vice’

Metal

Acido y Puto (English: “Acid and Fucking”) by Madrid fuzz rockers Free Ride is a pretty simple album, distilling psychedelic, distorted rock down to its purest form. The upbeat, guitar-driven rock makes you feel good as you nod along to the track, like their latest single, “Vice.” Pulled from Acido y Puto, Free Ride take the opportunity to dive into big, doomy riffs and bright, spacey solos on the new tune, a pretty direct juxtaposition to the more serious lyrics.

“‘Vice’ is the fourth track taken from our new album,” Free Ride tell Decibel in an email. “A straightforward song about the relentless grip of vice and addiction, echoing the arduous journey of overcoming their hold. The sound is apologetically raw, with fuzzy guitar riffs, voices with an ethereal feel and a driving rhythm that mirrors the chaos and intensity of battling inner demons.”

You can get hooked on Free Ride via the stream below; if you dig what you hear, Acido y Puto is officially out August 9 on Small Stone Recordings.
