Track Premiere: Bagorah – “Something From Nothing”

Metal

Multi-national prog rock/metal outfit, Bagorah, are back with a new track, “Something From Nothing,” from their upcoming second full-length, Parabnormal. The studio-based quartet—Lenny Burnett (guitars), David Knight (drums/percussion), James Phillips (vocals/keyboards), Richard Sims (bass)—have once again gathered their collective creative efforts for a solid nine tracks of offbeat, ’70s-inspired heaviness. The track we’re premiering offers up one of the heavier cuts on Parbnormal, a song that imagines what Voivod might have sounded like before the extreme metal era—angular chords, synth accents and other-worldly vocals.

Parabnormal was engineered by Erik Hellerman at Hellerman Studios in Nashville, and is set for releases on CD and digitally on April 1, via Look at the Moon Records. Place your preorder here.

The band chimed in about the new track:

James, regarding the lyrics: “A widely envied, award-driven celebrity is suddenly apprehended by self doubt, calling in to question his legacy, during the most opulent night of his life.”

Lenny, regarding the music: “I wanted something heavy but took you through dynamic movements that was similar to how progressive bands approached song writing in the 70s.”
