A 3-year-old soccer prodigy named Nevada reportedly got kicked out of his Florida youth league after dominating older children, with police eventually becoming involved.
Nevada is only 3 years old, but apparently his soccer skills are already causing grown adults to lose their minds. Walk with me. This is crazy. This is a real “sign the world is coming to an end.“
And when I say grown adults, I mean parents, league officials and eventually the police. Yes, the police! They called the cops on a 3-year old.
The pint-sized soccer sensation has become the center of a viral controversy after his family claimed he was expelled from an i9 Sports youth soccer league in Winter Park, Florida. His alleged offense? Being so talented that the other children couldn’t take the ball away from him.
Here’s the kicker. Nevada was reportedly competing against 5-year-olds! The vid is below:
Here is the part more people are not saying: Nevada is Black and the kids he was destroying were white. And those that felt it was ok to call the cops did not see anything wrong with this. Florida! Y’all stink!
According to his family, the situation escalated after opposing parents complained that Nevada was dominating games and making things unfair for everybody else. Apparently, winning is acceptable until somebody else’s child starts doing too much of it. I remember when we had to take our lumps and get better.
The family explained thecontroversyon social media, stating that Nevada’s extraordinary ability to maintain possession had become a weekly source of frustration for opposing teams.
Police eventually became involved. And this is where it gets extra crazy.
Video circulating online shows an encounter involving Nevada’s family and law enforcement. The family alleges they were removed from the field after the league issued a trespass notice. WOW. This takes poor sportsmanship to new lows. I’d almost wish the parents would start fighting.
“They really called the police on a 3 year old because he had the ball too much,” Nevada’s father said in the circulating footage.
His mother wasn’t particularly impressed with the adults either.
“Those grown ups huddled up talking about my son… but he ain’t doing nothing but playing soccer,” she said.
Now, I understand recreational leagues are supposed to encourage participation, sportsmanship and development. Nobody wants their child humiliated on a Saturday morning. But are we really suggesting that an exceptionally talented toddler should be penalized for being better than children who are two years older? Y’all some b#tches!
There may be additional circumstances surrounding the family’s removal that have not been publicly established. I don’t think so. The family also says its registration fees were refunded. Why would they do that? That’s like telling Micheal Jordan to go home as he’s becoming THEE Micheal Jordan. Haters!
There is a good side. Nevada’s soccer highlights have attracted attention from major sports platforms. I think this will work to his advantage and this racist travesty will be a part of his story.
That boy is going to be negotiating his first professional contract in no time and their kids will be looking dumber than they already are. I am disgusted.
