The Weeknd Shares ‘Gasoline’ Video

R&B

The Weeknd is lighting a fire under the competition, releasing another video from Dawn FM. “Gasoline,” a song he co-produced with OPN, is the latest visual from the album.

In the Matilda Finn-directed clip, The Weeknd’s car radio is unwilling to cooperate while the road he’s driving on becomes harder for him to see. He eventually crashes into a sign, stepping out to inspect the damages.

At a glance, The Weeknd resembles an older version of himself. He gets a good look at his younger self in a crowded club that appears where he’s trying to avoid being snatched down into a puddle of gasoline.

The video for “Gasoline” comes days after debuting a visual to “Sacrifice,” along with the follow-up to After Hours. Familiar names make appearances on Dawn FM, including Quincy Jones, Lil Wayne, Tyler, the Creator, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey.

Bringing fresh tunes from Dawn FM and massive hits and favorites from earlier works, The Weeknd sets the stage to take over the summer with his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour. Show dates are still up in the air.

The Weeknd may also perform some of his recent features, including FKA twigs’ “Tears in the Club” and Aaliyah’s posthumous track “Poison.”
