This summer’s going to be a pretty busy one for The Acacia Strain, as they announced earlier today that they plan on touring the U.S. on a headlining run dubbed the ‘You Are Safe From the Dead Walk Here’ tour. As you can probably tell from the name, the tour’s going to celebrate both last year’s You Are Safe From God Here, but also the band’s 2006 album The Dead Walk.
Set to kick off on June 4 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and coming to a close on June 20 in Des Moines, Iowa, the tour will see The Acacia Strain play venues all over the U.S. Some stops include venues in Richmond, Virginia; Columbus, Ohio; and Birmingham, Alabama, just to name a few.
Coming along for the ride will be The Callous Daoboys, Fromjoy, and Mask. Speaking of the tour, The Acacia Strain vocalist Vincent Bennett posted the following statement:
“THE DEAD WALK IS 20. YOU ARE SAFE FROM GOD HERE ISN’T EVEN A YEAR OLD YET. NO WAY WE ARE PLAYING EVERY SONG OFF A 20-YEAR-OLD RECORD WHEN WE JUST CAME OUT WITH A NEW ONE. THE BEST WE CAN DO IS LIKE 5 OR 6 SONGS — TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.
“THE DEAD WALK SONGS. YOU ARE SAFE FROM GOD HERE SONGS. CALLOUS DAOBOYS SONGS — DURING THEIR SET ONLY. PLUS FROMJOY AND MASK ARE GOING TO BE THERE. INTIMATE VENUES. LIMITED BARRICADES. COME COMPLAIN ABOUT HOW WE DIDN’T PLAY THE ONE SONG YOU REALLY WANTED TO HEAR.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time. You can find the full list of tour dates below.
