The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier (HBO Max)
This 12-episode webtoon-remake K-drama is a comedic fantasy that stars singer and actor Park Ji-hoon. Park plays a man who joins the military to escape the realities of his life at home, but finds a magical “quest” that leads him to become a legendary cook within the army. This kdrama follows Park’s cookhouse journey and adventures. Other leading actors in the show include My Daughter Is a Zombie actor Yoon Kyung-ho and The Uncanny Encounter actor Lee Hong-nae. This drama was released on HBO Max on May 11.
The Wonderfools (Netflix)
This action-comedy-drama follows a group of locals who suddenly gain superpowers and have to fight villains to bring peace to their hometown of Haeseong City, South Korea. This series is another with a jam-packed cast, two notably being Park Eun-bin from Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Cha Eun-Woo from True Beauty. This drama comes out on May 15.
Fifties Professionals (HBO Max)
This 12-episode action-comedy follows three retired men who come out of a 10-year hiatus, due to a series of events that bring them back to their past, being the mysteriously dangerous men they were when they were younger. The drama stars actors from The Auditors, Shin Ha-kyun, from It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Oh Jung-se, and from Squid Game, Heo Sung-tae. This drama is set to release on HBO Max on May 22, 2026.
The Remarried Empress (Disney+)
This drama is a romantic fantasy web novel remake with the same name. This drama follows Empress Navier (Shin Min-a) as she tries to outshine her ex-husband, who divorced her to marry his mistress. Navier divorced under one condition, that she could marry the Mysterious Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong-suk). Now that Heinrey is roped into Navier’s life, she will do everything in her power to reclaim her throne and ruin her ex-husband’s palace status. This drama is set to release on Disney+ in the second half of 2026.
Portraits of Delusions (Disney+)
This mystery-thriller drama has a star-studded cast with acclaimed actress and singer Bae Suzy and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’s Kim Seon-ho. This webtoon-turned-drama follows Yun I-ho (Kim Seon-ho), a struggling artist who gets trapped in a hotel run by Song Jeong-hwa (Bae Suzy), the owner and rumored immortal being living within the hotel. Yun I-ho finds himself uncovering the darkest secrets of the Nammoon Hotel and the mysterious woman who runs it. This drama is set to release on Disney+ in the latter half of 2026.

This period drama is set in the Korean War in the 1960s, with an exciting class ready to be on Netflix’s screen. The cast has five confirmed leads, all well-known for their talents in dramas: Song Hye Kyo, Gong Yoo, Lee Ha Nee, Kim Seol Hyun, and Cha Seung Won. This drama follows the characters in their individual journeys, making their names in the entertainment industry. This drama will be out on Netflix in December 2026.

This eight-part drama is a historical romance drama that follows a witty noblewoman (Son Ye-jin) and a well-known playboy (Ji Chang-wook) who play an intense game of seduction and persuasion. All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 (Netflix)

The production of the second season of All of Us Are Dead ended in February 2026, with production starting in July 2025. This new season is expected to continue the events that occurred in the first season, with several cast members returning to the series.
