T-Pain Gets Personal on New Song ‘On This Hill’

R&B

T-Pain has released his new single “On This Hill,” which he produced with Lil Rod.

The self-penned track “is really about refusing to be gaslit anymore,” T-Pain notes. “It’s about coming to a realization that I have to stand up for myself. Over the years, that has just been something I’ve had to open my eyes to and learn how to deal with it. So yeah, I’ll die on this hill, ha!”

“On This Hill” arrives during Mental Health Awareness Month. The Grammy winner recently teamed up with Talkspace, a mental health care app, to provide free therapy to his fans for up to a year.

“I know things can be rough out there, and we all need some help sometimes. That’s why for my new single ‘On This Hill,’ I’m teaming up with @talkspace to provide you therapy for up to a year,” T-Pain posted on X (formerly Twitter).

“On This Hill” follows the release of T-Pain and Young Cash’s collaborative album, The Bluez Brothaz, which arrived in April via Nappy Boy Entertainment.

In March, he joined pop singer Meghan Trainor on her single “Been Like This,” which has amassed over 35 million streams on Spotify so far.

T-Pain is booked and busy this summer and fall. On May 29, he will kick off his Mansion in Wiscansin Party Tour in Houston. The North American tour will visit Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Baltimore, Atlanta, and more, before concluding in Miami on July 4.

On Aug. 21, T-Pain will join Pitbull on his Party After Party Tour in Bristow, Virginia, at Jiffy Lube Live. The two will make stops in Hershey, Pennsylvania; Buffalo, New York; Cincinnati, Ohio; St. Louis, Missouri and more. The tour will conclude Oct. 5 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
