Supergroup Crosses (†††)Tease New Music | MetalSucks

Crosses (†††) just posted an intriguing teaser on Twitter, seemingly about new music they plan to unveil.

The band features Chino Moreno of Deftones fame and Shaun Lopez from Far. The group put out their first album in 2014. This has been the first music since then, and now that is hopefully about to change.

Then in 2020 and 2021, Crosses released some cover songs, and then an EP and some singles in 2022. This would be their first music of the year, though they’re yet to reveal if this will be a song, EP, LP, or something else.

This also isn’t the first hint the band have teased. Earlier this year, they were reported to be in the studio based on a series of photos posted on social media. Once again, there were no concrete details released, but the band seemed to have been recording.

The band also have an upcoming live performance at Darker Waves Fest in California on November 18. Hopefully, they will have some new material to share by then.

In an interview for Revolver’s “Point of Entry” series, the band claim that “Vivien” is a great place to start for those unfamiliar with their music.

“I think there’s a reason why we chose that song as the first single… coming back. I know we had the Initiation/Protection single that kind of came out under the radar. But I just feel like (‘Vivien’) encompasses, in the easiest terms, what the project consists of—beat-wise, tempo-wise.

“It kind of depends who I’m playing it for. I feel like Crosses lends itself to catering to different people who are in different moods. There (are) some pretty sullen tracks, there’re some more aggressive tracks, more romantic tracks. So it kind of depends on what mood I’m trying to convey.”
