Sinéad Harnett Shares ‘Ready Is Always Too Late (Deluxe)’ Album

R&B

Just under a year after releasing her sophomore album, Ready Is Always Too Late, Sinéad Harnett is back with the deluxe version.

The new set includes all 11 tracks from the standard edition with three new songs, two of which were previously released: “Where Have You Hiding”  and “At Your Best (You Are Love),” a once Amazon exclusive remake of the Isley Brothers’ 1976 classic that she dedicated to Aaliyah.

Also on the updated tracklist is a new song, “Let It Go.” Co-written by Jayla Darden and Jae Stephens, the smooth, up-tempo track finds Harnett singing about telling her partner to stop withholding his emotions and let her know exactly how he is feeling.

Alongside the reissue of this project, Harnett released the accompanying video for the song “Let It Go.” Directed by Kyle Jetter, the nostalgia-filled video features Harnett and her two accomplices on different sets in throwback clothing and props. Watch it above.

When she released Ready Is Always Too Late last May, Harnett was named one of Rated R&B’s Front + Center artists. During that interview, she discussed the idea behind the album and how it differs from her 2019 debut, Lessons in Love.

She said, “The first album was all about how do we love ourselves. [Ready Is Always Too Late] is how do we maintain that? How do we continue that journey and what happens next once you get to that? There’s so much beauty to be embraced when you set yourself healthy boundaries.”
