Savannah Ré Shares New Song ‘Fiji’

R&B

Savannah Ré has returned with her new song “Fiji,” her first music release since last year’s “24 Hrs.”

Like T-Pain, Ré has a special someone sprung from her goodness. So much so that they’re head-over-heels and wanting to keep tabs on her whereabouts.

“This thing got you trippin’ on it / Asking where I’m going, who I’m with / When I’m getting home / You waiting on it, yeah, yeah,” she flows melodically in a rap-sung cadence.

“This recordddd, up out the archives. I want to keep bringing y’all into my world and just know I’m working,” Ré wrote on Instagram before releasing “Fiji.”

Although Ré has kept away from New Music Friday since last June, she supplied her devotees visuals to go along with previously released material.

She debuted a video for “Highly Favoured” earlier this month. That song is from her 2020 EP, Opia

In an interview Rated R&B, Ré shared why “Highly Favoured” was an ode of sorts to her mother.

“She’s very religious (I don’t consider myself religious, but I do believe in God) and that song speaks to me knowing that I’m highly favored and blessed while acknowledging God’s position in my life. My mom always said that to me when I was younger,” explained Ré.

Ré also premiered a video featuring an acoustic take of “24 Hrs.”
