Q Drops New EP ‘Hello, Everyday Changes’

R&B

Q Marsden has dropped his new EP, Hello, Everyday Changes, via Boy Meets Euphoria/Columbia Records.

The three-pack set was led by the previously shared “Hello.”

He co-directed the official black-and-white video with Serr for the latter self-produced track and uploaded it on YouTube.

The other two tracks, “Everyday” and “Changes,” were also written and produced exclusively by Q. In the former track, he practices unconditional forgiveness and boundless love for a special someone.

Meanwhile, the latter tune, which also has an official visual, “is about the everyday changes that may come about in relationships, friendships, jobs, situations, and life,” according to Q.

Hello, Everyday Changes is Q’s first collection of new music since the May release of his debut album, Soul, PRESENT, home to singles such as “Today” and “Not Alone.”

Q both produced and wrote each track on Soul, PRESENT, which was released through Boy Meets Euphoria/Columbia Records. He revealed in a Teen Vogue interview that he began working on the album while in London with COVID.

“I was going through a lot of personal things…[and] I was left in bed with my bare self, thinking about everything that I was going through, that I was doing,” he explained. “I was presented with the raw me, the rawest me. It was a very rough time. But then I was on the plane back from London to Florida, and I was dreaming and I heard a melody.”

He continued, “While I was on the plane, ‘Soul, Present’ came to me. And it really means my soul is enough for God, and God’s presence was enough for me, because that’s all I had in that moment. I had nothing else.”

Out of the ten tracks on the album Soul, PRESENT, four were released with official music videos, including “Not Alone” and “Stereo Driver.”

Q’s first album was toured on a co-headlining spring tour with Baby Rose. She also appears as a featured artist on Soul, PRESENT.
