Jimmy Fallon wasn’t going to let a little heckling stop him from winning the round for his Password teammate. Fallon’s opponent, professional wrestler Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, put “fear in his eyes” to try to get him to mess up.
On the June 23 episode of Password, Fallon and The Miz face off against each other and another non-famous opponent as they try to win $25,000 for their teammate. TV Insider obtained a clip from the episode.
The password was “Hype.” The Miz leaned over and said to Fallon, “You going to pass again? Huh, slug? You’re scared. I understand.”
“I don’t see fear. I don’t see it,” Fallon’s teammate, Sarah, said.
“I see tons of fear. Look at those eyes,” the wrestler said.
“My eyes aren’t fearing,” Fallon replied.
“They’re feared. There’s fear in them,” The Miz joked.
“I just want you to be on screen more,” Fallon said.
“Is that what you want?” The Miz mocked. “I feel like I’ve got a lot of screen time. Everyone is looking at me, going ‘That guy’s got the time, and he’s got the screen.’ It’s all here, Jimmy.”
“They want to see their hero, their fan-favorite, Jimmy Fallon, do some Password,” he said.
Host Keke Palmer clapped and yelled, “Yeah!”
Despite all of that, Fallon passed on the “Password for Wrestling Fans.” The Miz started by saying, “Type.” His teammate guessed “Cast.”
When it was the late-night talk show host’s turn, he tilted his head to the side, threw his hands out, and said, “Maaaan!” Sarah guessed “Macho.”
To rhyme again, The Miz went with “Pipe,” to which his teammate said “Gripe.” Fallon said “Ripe,” and Sarah guessed “Hype,” which gave them the points for the round.
