Leon Bridges and Khruangbin Venture to ‘Chocolate Hills’ in New Video

R&B

Leon Bridges and Khruangbin are not sleeping on their new project Texas Moon. Instead, they get to work and release a music video for “Chocolate Hills.”

In the video, co-directed by Cady Buche and Travis Barron, Bridges walks the halls of a partly animated, multi-door setting.

Once he selects a door to open, he embarks on a psychedelic journey outdoors with cartoon versions of Khruangbin resting on his shoulders.

Texas Moon arrived earlier this month. The brand new set served as the sequel to their 2020 EP Texas Sun

Outside of his collaborative work with Khruangbin, Bridges is still feeling the momentum of his Gold-Diggers Sound era.

He has many show dates lined up in the coming months, including a freshly announced Boundless Tour that starts this summer.

Soon, Bridges will find out if he’s once again a Grammy winner. He’s nominated for two 2022 Grammys, including a historic Best R&B Album nomination for Gold-Diggers Sound

In a July 2021 interview with Rated R&B’s Keithan Samuels, Bridges shared what he hoped fans took away from his latest body of work.

“This album encapsulates the multifaceted aspects of life, the peaks, and the valleys of life. There’s moments there where I’m very honest about some of my struggles. I want people to be able to utilize these songs and their experiences in life. I hope that the songs simply resonate with the audience.”
