Jvck James Covers Aaliyah’s ‘Come Over’

R&B

Rated R&B’s Front + Center artist Jvck James has shared a stripped-down cover of Aaliyah’s 2002 song “Come Over.” The East London native rolls it out with a music video.

James’ version is lean on its soothing production, featuring gentle acoustic guitar licks, limited finger snaps, and light drumming. However, his vocal performance offers just enough melodramatics regarding an unplanned visit to see a love interest.

In an Instagram post, James wrote, “@aaliyah thank you for your contribution. your legacy will continue to transcend through generations. thank you for inspiring us, from your effortless swag to the timeless classics. you are the blueprint. more than a woman.”

James has had a busy 2021, releasing his new EP Joyride. In April, Tiana Major9 shared a remix of her 2020 song “…Exclusively” with guest vocals from James.
