Jhené Aiko to Sing ‘America the Beautiful’ at Super Bowl LVI

R&B

If names like Mary J. Blige and Dr. Dre weren’t big enough, the Super Bowl LVI continues to ramp up its entertainment lineup with other high-profile stars such as Jhené Aiko.

The Grammy-nominated singer will perform “America the Beautiful” as part of the pregame festivities on Sunday, Feb. 13, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Sharing the announcement on Instagram, Aiko wrote, “Daddy’s from Cincinnati…Mom is from L.A.,” along with a few cute emojis. She gushed more in the post, simply telling her fans and supporters of the game she can’t wait to perform.

This week, the NFL revealed country artist Mickey Guyton would sing the national anthem at Super Bowl LVI.

Also, if you don’t know by now, Blige, Dre. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar are confirmed for the Pepsi Halftime Show performance. An official trailer dropped last month.

In other-related Aiko news, she is booked to play the 2022 Smokin’ Grooves Festival on March 19 at LA State Historic Park in Los Angeles, California. Erykah Badu and Miguel are also top performers for the star-studded festival.

She’ll also be at the Sol Blume Festival later this spring.
