Jay Park has collaborated with Chung Ha on this latest single, ‘Gimme A Minute’, lifted from his new album ‘The One You Wanted’.

‘Gimme A Minute’ is the latest single from Jay Park’s ‘The One You Wanted’, which dropped on October 8. Some of the singer’s other singles that appear on the album include ‘Taxi Blurr’ featuring KISS OF LIFE’s Natty, ‘GANADARA’ featuring IU, ‘Love Is Ugly’ featuring MAMAMOO’s Hwasa and more.

‘The One You Wanted’ is also notable the Korean-American singer’s first R&B album in over five years, since 2019’s ‘The Road Less Traveled’. Other notable features on ‘The One You Wanted’ include aespa’s NingNing on ‘Sip Ona Lil Sum”, YG and P-Lo on ‘100 Days’ and more.

Meanwhile, the music video for ‘Gimme a Minute’ sees Jay Park performing in an empty parking lot as it crumbles and crashes around him. Chung Ha later appears to perform her verse as she dances in front of a closed diner.

‘Gimme A Minute’ is the first new song from ‘The One You wanted’ to receive a music video. Park is also set to release visuals for ‘Mayday’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign and ‘Piece of Heaven’ featuring Isol, both of which have also been named titled tracks for the record.

In a press conference, Park shared that every single he’s released in the past years since establishing his label More Vision were meant to drop as part of a full body of work. “If too many songs are released at once, the public won’t listen to them properly. So I pre-released the album tracks as singles and promoted each one,” he said, per Yonhap News Agency

In other K-pop news, aespa will soon be releasing their special ‘SYNK: Parallel Line’ EP, which will include the solo songs each member of the group have been performing on their ongoing tour. This comes weeks ahead of their upcoming return with their fifth mini-album ‘Whiplash’.
