J. Holiday Returns With New Album ‘Time’

R&B

Seems like it’s been a while since we’ve gotten a full-length album from J.Holiday. Though he generously released a mixtape (Baecation) in 2020, the Grammy-nominated crooner was long overdue for a proper follow-up to 2014’s Guilty Conscience. He’s finally obliged with his brand new album Time.

Primarily produced and written with Milk+Sizz, a Grammy-winning husband and wife duo, Time finds J. Holiday continuing down a familiar path while adjusting to the times to deliver a much-needed brand of smooth R&B.

The opener, “Gemini,” puts J. Holiday in the same arena as Usher, as he asks to soothingly see the other side of his love interest.

On the title track, J. Holiday suggests that he and his lady not exhaust their efforts in holding onto relationships issues and spend time loving each other with the current moment.

Although J. Holiday’s Time has zero features, it does have a few previously released cuts, such as island-inspired “Feels Like” and the steamy “Zero to Sixty.”
