HBO Max has released its preview of shows coming in 2025, including the first glimpse of The White Lotus season three with BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
Today (November 11), the streaming service shared a preview of its slate of shows scheduled for 2025. It features looks at new seasons of popular series including Peacemaker, The Last of Us and most notably the third season of The White Lotus.
In the segment for The White Lotus, BLACKPINK singer Lisa plays a Thai resort manager named Mook who greets the new guests coming to the iconic hotel. “Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand, ka,” she says in the clip.
The upcoming season was filmed and is set in Lisa’s homeland of Thailand, with her role also marking the Thai K-pop idol’s acting debut. In a previous interview with Elle, Lisa shared what viewers and fans can expect of the upcoming third season of The White Lotus.
“It’s pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos. I’m excited for my fans to see it,” she added. The ‘Rockstar’ singer also said that filming the series in various locations in Thailand was a great opportunity “to be back home, to have Thai food every day”.
The K-pop star released three new solo singles this year, ‘Rockstar’, the Rosalía-assisted ‘New Woman’. and ‘Moonlit Floor’, the last of which interpolated Sixpence None the Richer’s seminal 1997 hit ‘Kiss Me’. The songs came three years after she made her solo debut with ‘Lalisa’ in 2021.
