Singer-songwriter Gina Zollman is having a serious moment. She just snagged a nomination for Vocalist of the Year (Adult Contemporary) at the 2025 Josie Music Awards, one of the biggest celebrations in indie music—and dropped a new album that proves exactly why she deserves it.
Her latest release, Originals, is a 17-track deep dive into raw emotion, sly humor, and musical experimentation. It’s the kind of record that sounds like it was written by someone who’s lived a few lifetimes—and finally decided to say it all out loud.
The Josie Awards will take place this fall at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. For Zollman, the nomination feels like both a milestone and a validation.
“To be nominated in such a strong field—and at this stage in my journey—is honestly overwhelming in the best way,” she says. “Originals is the most honest work I’ve ever done.”
Produced by longtime collaborator Kevin Fisher, the album slides effortlessly between adult contemporary, jazz-pop, and modern folk. Songs like “Any Road You Choose,” “Heartbreak Highway,” “You,” and “Garden Grove, California” show off Zollman’s uncanny ability to write lyrics that sting a little but still feel like home.
If the album wasn’t enough, she’s also performing her acclaimed ORIginaLS live show—a one-woman, cabaret-style experience that’s been getting standing ovations everywhere from The Gardenia in Hollywood to The Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert. It’s part concert, part memoir, part therapy session—Zollman at her most unfiltered and magnetic.
