In case you haven’t been keeping score, our latest installment of Metal & Beer Fest: Denver kicks off in just three weeks. Though we’re excited to experience all 14 bands and 13 breweries tapped to participate, we’re not trying to speedrun the weekend either. This year, the co-nerds at Kill Screen have teamed up with the like-minded folks at TRVE Brewing Co. to announce Metal & Beer Fest Checkpoint, a unique meet & greet with some familiar faces to Decibel’s neon-lit corners!
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 7 at TRVE’s tap room (227 N. Broadway, Denver, CO 80203), take a breather from your scheduled sonic pummeling to enjoy some pints and points with members of Frozen Soul, Earthburner, Crypt Sermon, Dreadnought, Necropanther and Daeva. Whether it’s facing off in Mario Kart with this year’s Album of the Year winners, cracking open your graded Black Lotus to be signed by Texas’ cold-school death metal heroes or just chilling with a hard-earned TRVE brew after being battered by Autopsy’s Severed Survival set the night before, all are welcome at our magical gathering. Entry to this event is free, so the only way to lose is if you don’t play. Our bodies are ready—we hope to see you there!
